WRIT Filed by TNMEDS and others Madras High court Reg Online Pharmacies

The writ appeal number 2818 of 2018 filed by TNMEDS.com came up before the Honorable Madras High Court, comprising the division bench of Justices comprising Mr. Krishna Kumar and Justice PV Balaji.

The Honorable High Court expressed dismay that central government has not yet filed affidavit in the matter.
Although all the online pharmacy companies had requested to accept their standing in support of the writ appeal for the by filing affidavits and legally representing them, but None had appeared on behalf of the central government in the hearing that took place today.

The honorable court flickered an question to the government advocate, who was present in the court to call upon the concerned central government advocate to be present in the next hearing and also by duly filing counter affidavit to make the standpoint of the central government clear whichever way as the new regulations or amendments to be done for recognition of online pharmacy licenses

Therefore court had passed a judgement directing the central government to file supporting affidavits for their standpoint on online /e-pharmacies within 2 weeks from 13-07-2023.
